Malta lost 1-5 to Italy in a match from Group 2 of the UEFA Futsal EURO at the University Sports Hall on Tuesday.

Julio De Oliveira put Italy ahead on 7 minutes but Collin Sammut equalised two minutes later. Gabriel Motta restored the lead on 19 minutes and one minute later, Murilo Schiochet made it 3-1.

In the second half, Italy scored another two goals thanks to Motta on 22 minutes and Schiochet on 36 minutes.
