Zabbar St. Patrick maintained alive hopes of securing a Top 6 spot as they defeated Gzira United 3-0 in a match from the 360Sports Malta Premier Closing Round at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Thursday.
The Saints join Hamrun Spartans in seventh place on 14 points, one behind Sliema Wanderers and two behind Hibernians, Marsaxlokk and Mosta. Gzira, on the other hand, are ninth on 11 points and are therefore sure of playing in the Bottom 6.
Kristian Keqi put Zabbar ahead after just one minute. David Oliveira doubled the score on 72 minutes and Joao Pedro sealed the issue with a third goal three minutes from time.
