Birzebbuga St. Peter’s came from behind to beat San Gwann 2-1 in a match from the IZIBET Amateur League 1 Top 6 at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Ricardo Nahuel Velasquez put San Gwann after six minutes but Dylan Micallef equalised on 61 minutes and Yusuf Abdullahi Sulaiman made it 2-1 five minutes later.
In another match, Vittoriosa Stars defeated Attard 3-0 thanks to a brace by Paul Odunayo Aderibigbe on 4 and 22 minutes and Aidan Agius Gilford on 16 minutes.
Birzebbuga and Vittoriosa lead the way with 40 points, followed by San Gwann on 39, Xghajra 34, Luqa 33 and Attard 29.
