Mazzotta names Under-21 squad ahead of Estonia friendly

Malta U21 Coach Davide Mazzotta has named a 27-man squad for the upcoming international friendly match against Estonia.

The match will be played on Tuesday 25th March at the Centenary Stadium, with kick-off time at 19:00hrs.

This will serve as the Coach Mazzotta’s first international window in charge of the U21 National Team, as he looks to continue preparing the players for the upcoming 2025-27 UEFA European U21 Championship Qualifiers. Malta has been drawn in Group F, alongside Germany, Georgia, Greece, Northern Ireland, and Latvia, with the first match being a home game against Greece in September 2025.

The Malta U21 team for the Estonia encounter features many new faces as a number of players from the previous qualification campaign are no longer eligible to play due to age criteria.

Additionally, several players who are eligible to represent the U21s have also been included in the provisional senior squad.
