UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship: Second defeat for Malta

Malta suffered a second 5-0 defeat in Group B2 of the UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship, losing to Luxembourg at the Bayil Stadium, Baku, Azerbaijan on Saturday.

Hannah Dietrich put Luxembourg ahead on 12 minutes and two minutes from the end of the first half, Federica Morvilli doubled the score. Charlie Jorge Magalhaes increased the lead on 59 minutes and the same player scored a fourth goal seven minutes from time. Amélie Feil added another four minutes later.

Malta faces hosts Azerbaijan in the final match on Tuesday.
