Six players, five officials suspended after Zabbar-Mosta clash

Six players and five officials were suspended by the Malta Disciplinary Commissioner following the 360Sports Malta Premier clash between Zabbar St. Patrick and Mosta on Saturday.

Justin Haber (Zabbar) was banned for five matches, Wallace Bonilha and Kristian Keqi (both Zabbar) were suspended for three matches, Emmanuel Prince Chibuzor (Mosta) and Strahinja Jovancic (Zabbar) for two and Vinicius De Paiva (Zabbar) was banned for one match.

Mosta official Tyrone Farrugia was banned for one year, Zabbar official Anthony Farrugia for seven months, Zabbar fitness coach Andres Quiroga for four months, Zabbar coach Aniello Parisi for one month and Mosta official Adrian Farrugia for four matches.

Apart from these decisions, the Malta FA issued charges against the clubs in question, which will be heard and decided by the Control, Discipline and Ethics committee in the coming days. Independently of the above-indicated procedures, a disciplinary inspector has been appointed to investigate the incident and shortly make recommendations, as the case may be.

Meanwhile Samir Arab (Balzan), Guy Yameogo (Floriana) and Gareth Barone (Melita) were banned for one match.

In the BOV Challenge League, Precious Linus Tenebe (Zurrieq) was banned for three matches, Blessing Brafo (Swieqi), Kurt Briffa (Tarxien), Owden Vella (Zurrieq), Wesley (Gudja), Rundell Renold Winchester (Lija), Matheus Freitas (Mtarfa), Mouhamadou Lamine Ngom (Senglea), Carlos Chaba (Sirens), Ricardo Cali Correa (St. Andrews), Lesley Cassar Jackson and Ayrton Mizzi (Zebbug) were all suspended for one match.

Josmar Galea (Attard), Edward Bugeja (Luqa), Adam Falzon (San Gwann), Francesco Gusman (Xghajra), Mihcael Theuma (Kirkop) and Ryan Cauchi (Zejtun) were suspended for one match in the IZIBET Amateur League 1 while in the IZIBET Amateur League 2, NIkolai Farrugia Cross (Mqabba) was suspended for one match.
