Valletta were presented with BOV Challenge League trophy after their final Top 8 match against Marsa which they won 3-0 at the National Stadium on Saturday.
The Citizens, therefore, crowned an excellent campaign which saw them win nineteen of the twenty two games played, dropping the only points in two draws and a defeat.
On Saturday, a goal by Enoch Mushagalusa on 17 minutes put them ahead. Andrea Zammit doubled the score on 38 minutes and Paul Lapira sealed the issue with a third goal on 66 minutes.
The BOV Challenge League Top 8 will come to an end on Sunday with the final three matches which includes the two decisive matches for promotion as Tarxien Rainbows take on Mgarr United and Swieqi United face Santa Lucia. A draw would be enough for Tarxien to secure promotion to the Malta Premier.
