IZIBET Amateur League 1 champions Birzebbuga St. Peter’s won the BOV Amateur Super Cup after defeating IZIBET Amateur League 2 champions Victoria Hotspurs 1-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.

The Hotspurs were eyeing the treble after winning the BOV Amateur Cup last week but the clash with Birzebbuga remained goalless in regular time. The game went into extra-time and one minute in the second half of extra-time, substitute Yusuf Abdullahi Sulaiman notched the winner for Edgar Degabriele’s side.
