Record viewership for The Championship Final

76,000 TV box sets tuned in on Saturday to watch The Championship Final between Ħamrun Spartans and Birkirkara on TVM Sport+, making it the most-watched programme during that time slot with a 36%  audience share.

With an average of two viewers per household, that amounts to approximately 150,000 viewers. An additional 12,000 people watched the match online.

These are incredible numbers and a clear testament to the hard work and  commitment shown by the Malta Premier and PBS top management, particularly in recent weeks.

Their efforts to elevate the quality of live match coverage and countdown to kick off in the most decisive matches, also with a more structured pre-match  broadcast and the introduction of a temporary studio setup in the North Stand,  were very well received.

The rising number of viewers in the final weeks of the 360Sports Malta Premier  campaign speaks for itself, culminating in outstanding viewership figures  between 6pm and 8pm last Saturday during the Final.

Viewer numbers had already been growing steadily in the final weeks of the  season, and they peaked impressively on Saturday during the final.

TVM Sport+ even surpassed mainstream channels like TVM, NET, and ONE  during that time slot, an unprecedented achievement that underscores the  public’s growing engagement with the Malta Premier, as also documented in the  rapid increase in figures and stats for the Malta Premier social media digital  platforms.
