Gzira United FC secured the services of Spanish twenty six year old central defender Marc Van de Bovenkamp Font and Colombian twenty six year old defensive midfielder Jork Eblin Becerra Portocarrero.

Van de Bovenkamp played for CD Onda, CD l’Alcora and UD Barbadas in Spain before moving to Melita last summer.

On the other hand, Becerra is a product of Fortaleza CEIF and played for Zamora FC, Atlético Bucaramanga and CD Real Cartagena in Colombia before joining AP Brera Strumica in North Macedonia last summer, moving to Floriana in January.

The Maroons, who had earlier appointed Clive Mizzi as their new coach, have so far signed Maxuell Samurai, Santiago Martinez and David Xuereb with Jackson Mendoza and Thaylor Aldama moving elsewhere.
