Hamrun Spartans secured the services of Ivorian-Italian twenty three year old forward Junior Lougah Djile.

A product of Brescia, Junior Djile played for Rezzato and Valcalepio before moving to SC Farense in Portugal. Later, he had spells with Ermis Aradippou in Cyprus, Botev Vtatsa in Bulgaria, Al Hamriyah and Dubai City FC in the United Arab Emirates.

The Spartans had earlier appointed Giacomo Modica as their new coach with Steve Borg, Mattias Ellul, Mayron, Roko Prsa, Elionay, Mihael Klepac, Talison and Raphael Lopes, not retained or moving elsewhere.
