Tarxien Rainbows FC and Sheldon Mizzi has reached an agreement to extend his contract with the club by a further year. 

A product of Pieta’ Hotspurs, he also played for Santa Lucia and Marsa, before joining the Rainbows last summer.

The club said that Mizzi has truly been a standout figure within the team — a player who embodies the spirit and values of the club both on and off the pitch. His unwavering respect for the badge, the supporters, and the entire Tarxien community makes him a model professional and a beloved figure in the squad. Known for his tireless work ethic and exceptional character, Sheldon continues to be an invaluable asset to Tarxien Rainbows. 

Reflecting on his extension, Sheldon Mizzi shared: 

“HERE TO STAY! I’m proud and grateful to continue with Tarxien Rainbows for a second consecutive year, especially after achieving a promotion to the Premier League. A new and more difficult challenge awaits but I’m eager and ready to go. To all the Tarxien supporters, you’ve lifted us before, and now it’s time to raise the volume again. Let’s go again, TOGETHER. Forza Rainbows!” 

Tarxien had earlier confirmed another player from last season’s squad, Miguel D’Alessandro.
