BOV Challenge League, Amateur and Youth League 2025/26 match sequences

The match sequences for the BOV Challenge League, BOV Amateur League I and II and BOV Youth League were revealed as the draws for these leagues were held on Thursday during a live transmission on TVMSport+ and Youtube.

The BOV Challenge League shall be composed once again of sixteen teams and shall be divided into two phases. During the First Phase, the league shall be played by all the sixteen clubs on a single round-robin basis and at the end of the First Phase, the top eight teams shall play against each other on a Single Round Robin basis in the Top Eight Round while the bottom eight shall play against each other on a Single Round Robin basis in the Play-Out Round. The top two teams in the Top 8 will be promoted to the Malta Premier while the bottom two teams in the Bottom 8 will be relegated to the National Amateur League 1.

The BOV Amateur League I shall be composed of fourteen teams and shall be played on a double round-robin basis. At the end of the league, the top two teams would be promoted to the Challenge League and the bottom four teams will be relegated to the National Amateur League 2.

The opening matchday of the BOV Amateur League I will be held on the weekend of the 20th and 21st September 2025.

The BOV Amateur League II shall be composed of twelve teams and shall be played on a double round-robin basis. At the end of the league, the top two teams will be promoted to the National Amateur League 1.

The first matchday of the BOV Amateur League II will take place on the weekend of the 20th and 21st September 2025.

The BOV Youth League, in all four sections will be divided into two phases. During the First Phase, the league shall be played on a single round-robin basis and at the end of the First Phase, the teams are divided into two groups. In Sections A and B, the second phase in both groups will be played on a double round-robin basis while in Sections C and D, the second phase in both groups will be played on a single round-robin basis.

Section A will kick-off on August 18 and Section B on August 19 while Section C and Section D will kick-off in September.
