Hamrun Spartans signed Belgian twenty-one year old attacking midfielder Mouad El Fanis.

El Fanis, who also holds a Moroccan passport, played for Club Brugge and Standard De Liege and their second team SL16.

The Spartans had earlier appointed Giacomo Modica as their new coach and signed Vincenzo Polito, Jonny Robert, Matias Garcia, Domantas Šimkus, Rafael Compri, N’Dri Koffi, Saliou Thioune and Junior Djile with Steve Borg, Mattias Ellul, Mayron, Roko Prsa, Elionay, Mihael Klepac, Talison, Cesar Menachio and Raphael Lopes, not retained or moving elsewhere.
