Tarxien Rainbows FC secured the services of Brazilian twenty seven year old forward Jonata de Oliveira Bastos.

A product of CRB, Jonata had a spell on loan at Cruzeiro before moving to Portugal where he played for Estoril, Braga and Alverca. He returned to Brazil to join Vila Nova but then had another season in Brazil with Oliveirense. He played for Visakha FC in Cambodia before moving to Malta last summer to join Sliema Wanderers. After leaving the Blues in January, he joined Aguia de Maraba in Brazil

Tarxien, who have confirmed coach Jacques Scerri, had earlier signed goalkeepers Andrea Cassar and Miguel Spiteri, Marcus Grima, William James England, Andreas Vella, Luke Anthony Borg, Kyle Gatt, Bruno da Cruz, Kwasi Donsu and Johan Castano and confirmed Matthew Tabone, Miguel D’Alessandro, Sheldon Mizzi and Claudio Murici.
