Malta was drawn in Group A along with Denmark Andorra and Scotland in the Preliminary Round of the European qualifying for the 2028 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
The preliminary round will be played between April 6 and 15 April 2026. Group A will be hosted by Denmark.
The winners and runners-up of each preliminary round group qualify for the main round.
