Floriana moved an important step towards winning the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round as they came back from a goal down to beat Marsaxlokk 3-1 at the National Stadium on Wednesday.

The Greens move nine points clear of Marsaxlokk and Hamrun Spartans and with just one draw from the last three matches, they would win the Closing Round. 

Dodo put Marsaxlokk ahead on 7 minutes but Federico Varela equalised on 13 minutes.

Paul Mbong made it 2-1 the minutes from the end of the first half and eight minutes in the second half, Federico Varela sealed the issue with a third goal.
