Senglea Athletic moved to safer waters in the BOV Amateur League I as they defeated Luqa St. Andrew’s 2-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Friday.
Johan Alberto Castano put Senglea ahead on 11 minutes and although Andreas Psaila equalised five minutes from the end of the first half, Jake Stensen notched the winner four minutes in added time.
Attard lead the way with 56 points, followed by Victoria Hotspurs on 51, Mqabba 44, Qormi 43, Lija 40, San Gwann 30, Qrendi 29, Senglea 28, Mellieha 27, Kirkop and Xghajra 24, Pembroke 22, Zejtun and Luqa 21.
