Tarxien Rainbows earned another point in the battle to avoid the bottom two places in the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round Bottom 6 as they held Birkirkara in a goalless draw at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Friday.

A draw which puts them one point ahead of Zabbar and three ahead of Mosta. Therefore with the league ending in a week’s time, the Rainbows remain at risk of being relegated automatically should they end in one of the two bottom places.

The two teams shared the exchanges throughout the ninety minutes and had their fair share of scoring opportunities but failed to break the deadlock.
