Floriana FC attacking midfielder Federico Nicolás Varela has been named the LifeStar Insurance Most Valuable Player for May.
A thoroughly deserved individual honour for the Argentinian star, who played a key role in guiding Floriana FC to their record 27th league title.
The MVP trophy he received following the Finalissima win over Marsaxlokk FC was his eighth of the league campaign, making him the player with the most MVP awards won in the league season.
Earlier this week, he was also voted as the Best Foreign Player in the 2025/2026 football season just over.
The presentation was held at the LifeStar Insurance offices by senior company officials Jonathan Camilleri and Roberto Apap Bologna.
