Gzira United secured the services of twenty-eight year old Argentine attacking midfielder Jonathan Leonardo Farías.

Jonathan Farías was on the books of Boca Juniors in Argentina and following a spell with Cercle Brugge in Belgium, with Aldosivi, Defensa, Agropeucario and Deportivo Espanol in Argentina before joining Santos FC in Peru. 

The Maroons had earlier signed Francisco Saldanha.
