Gzira United secured the services of twenty four year old Brazilian forward Luis Henrique de Souza Nascimento and twenty-seven year old Portuguese left back Filipe Bartolomeu Maio.

Luisinho is a product of Gremio in Brazil while Filip Maio played for FC Bom Sucesso, ADCR Oia, GD Gafanha, Sporting CP, Vitoria SC and Boavista FC at youth level before turning out for Portimonense, Cova Piedade, Oliveirense, San Joao de Ver, Amora FC, SC Covilha and Sanjoanense.

The Maroons have confirmed coach Darren Abdilla. They had earlier signed Francisco Saldanha and Jonathan Farias and extended the contracts of Karl Sargent and Marc Van de Bovenkamp.
