Malta FA continues investment in stadia and facility upgrades ahead of new season

The Malta FA is currently undertaking an extensive programme of maintenance and improvement works across its facilities and several football regional stadiums, as part of its continued commitment to providing high-quality infrastructure for clubs, players, officials and supporters.

Following the conclusion of the domestic season, works commenced at the National Stadium and the Malta FA Training Grounds in Ta’ Qali. These include the annual renovation and maintenance of the playing surfaces, repainting works across various areas of the West Stand, servicing of facilities, and a number of infrastructure upgrades. These are being done to continue elevating both the training and the matchday experience for clubs and supporters.

Additional works at the National Stadium, including improvements to the dressing rooms, tunnel area and other spectator facilities, will continue in the coming weeks in preparation for the new football season.

The Centenary Stadium has also undergone significant refurbishment and uplift, with extensive interior and exterior painting, deep cleaning, and renovation to spectators’ facilities. Further works, including improvements to the floodlighting, substitution benches and stadium infrastructure, are scheduled to be completed ahead of the new season.

Beyond the Ta’ Qali Football Complex, maintenance works have also been carried out and planned at a number of regional stadiums. These have included pitch brushing and repair works, floodlight maintenance, waterproofing interventions and the installation of additional seating.

Through these ongoing investments, the Malta FA continues to enhance its facilities and football infrastructure, ensuring that players, clubs, match officials and supporters can benefit from safe, modern and well-maintained venues throughout the season.
