Valletta signed thirty six year old central defender Ermin Bičakčić.

Bicakcic, who holds a dual German and Bosnia-Herzegovina passport and is a former international for Bosnia and Herzegovina, played for SpVgg Mockmühl, FC Heilbronn, VfB Stuttgart, Eintracht Braunshweig and Hoffenheim before moving to Zeljeznicar in Bosnia-Herzegovina earlier this year.  

The Citizens had earlier signed Alex Tanque, Petar Sekulovic, Bruno Gomes, Manuel Morello and Roko Prša and confirmed Adilson Maringa, Sava Radic, Thaylor Aldama and Diogo Tavares. On the other hand, Shaft Brewer, Rowen Muscat, Jackson Mendoza, Yuri Messias, Ahmed Adebayo and Stijn Meijer were not retained or moved elsewhere while Thomas Melillo was loaned to Zabbar St. Patrick.
