Balzan secured the services of thirty year old Brazilian defender Leonardo Fernandes Joaquim da Silva and twenty eight year old Brazilian attacking midfielder Rosiel Pereira da Silva.

Léo Fernandes played for Sampaio, Vitoria, Audax, Nova Iguana, Santa Cruz and Sao Luiz in Brazil and AF Elbasani in Albania before a first spell with Mosta. He returned to Brazil where he played for Sergipe and Cabofriense, moving back to Malta last summer to re-join Mosta. 

On the other hand, Rosiel was on the books of Goytacaz, Carapebus, Americano, Democrata, Jaguare and Desportiva Ferroviária before joining Naxxar Lions last summer.

Balzan, who have confirmed Andrew Cohen as their coach, had earlier signed Sekala Guehi, Isaac Davey and Emmanuel Asante and extended the contract of Awosanya Oluwatobiloba Dimeji and Sean Cipriott.
