Mosta dropped their first points after claiming maximum points from the first three matches as they were held in a 1-1 draw by Marsaxlokk in a match from the VBET Malta Premier Opening Round league phase at the National Stadium on Saturday.
An early goal put Mosta ahead but Marsaxlokk were quick to equalise and overall they were the team to create most chances throughout the ninety minutes.
Mosta had three changes from the team which defeated Birkirkara as Neil Frendo, Oscar Ezejiofor and Geoffrey Acheampong were handed a start with Ernest Agyiri and Wanderson Gotinha being among the substitutes and Giancarlo Goncalves unavailable.
On the other hand, for Marsaxlokk, Matias Garcia was preferred to Domantas Simkus.
Mosta took the lead on the 5th minute when off a cross by Geoffrey Acheampong, Foguete managed to deflect the ball past goalkeeper Christoffer Mafoumbi.
Marsaxlokk equalised six minutes later when Dodo sent Rasmus Linden through inside the area and the latter slotted the ball past goalkeeper Udoh Akpan.
One minute in the second half, Leandro Aguirre was unlucky to hit the upright for Marsaxlokk.
