Hamrun Beach Soccer joined Naxxar Lions at the top of the Nestle Ice Cream Beach Soccer League table after winning their last two games. On the other hand, Naxxar Lions suffered two consecutive defeats as they failed to maintain the consistency with which they started this competition.
Ħamrun beat Birżebbuġa Tigers 7-4 in a game they dominated for long stretches. David Emmanuel Garba scored four goals with Nezar Fawzi Abouaisa scoring twice. Chris Baker scored the other goal. Birżebbuġa reduced the score through Camilo del Castillo Escobar, Nigel Spiteri, Brandon Bray and Lydon Cuschieri.
Hamrun also claimed maximum points from the direct clash with Naxxar, winning 7-4 as Hamrun made their intentions clear right from the start.
David Emmanuel Garba scored six and Chris Baker once. Lee Joe Schembri scored twice with John Paul Zammit and Nicholas Schembri scoring the other two goals.
La Playa de Arena recorded two wins and one loss in the three matches they played.
They beat Naxxar Lions 7-4 with Indrek Palm scoring twice and Daryl Micallef, Sheldon Mizzi, Pak Ling Li, Jonathan Grech and Mantas Makutunivicius also adding their names among the scorers. Naxxar found the net through a brace by Daniel Zerafa and goals by Yessous Camilleri and Lydon Micallef.
La Playa de Arena defeated Birżebbuġa Tigers 8-6.
Pak Ling Li, Daryl Micallef, Mantas Makutunuvicius and Sheldon Mizzi scored two goals each for the winners with Brandon Bray scoring a double for Birżebbuġa with John Paul Barbara, Kayne Haber and Camilo Escobar scoring a goal each.
La Playa de Arena then lost 3-4 to Ta’ Xbiex. Ta’ Xbiex were determined to return to winning ways and found Zvezdan Vukovic in great form when he scored a double with Ryan Dalli and Jeremy Cassar rounding up the score for their team. Sheldon Mizzi, Karl Caruana and Daryl Micallef responded for La Playa de Arena.
Sliema Beach Soccer registered a fine 7-3 win against Birżebbuġa Tigers. Mark Agius scored four goals while Vincenzo Margiotta, Kurt Mifsud and an own goal by Luke Attard added more goals for the Blues. Brandon Bray scored a double for Birżebbuġa with Jorge Diaz adding another goal for Birżebbuġa.
