Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s Football Club is proud to officially unveil its new club crest, marking an exciting new chapter in the club’s history while paying tribute to the values, heritage, and community spirit that have defined the club since its foundation in 1946.
The redesigned crest reflects the identity of Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s FC, combining traditional symbols with a modern and distinctive visual style. At the heart of the emblem is a football, representing the club’s passion for the game and its commitment to sporting excellence. The intertwined initials BSPFC prominently feature in the centre, reinforcing the club’s identity and unity.
Inspired by the club’s namesake, Saint Peter, the crest incorporates the iconic crossed keys, a symbol closely associated with the saint and a powerful reminder of the club’s roots and values. The surrounding laurel branches celebrate achievement, perseverance, and the ambition to continue striving for success both on and off the pitch.
Maintaining the club’s traditional blue and gold colours, the new crest preserves a strong connection to the club’s history while introducing a cleaner, more contemporary design suitable for the modern era. The circular format conveys unity and inclusiveness, reflecting the strong bond between the club, its supporters, players, volunteers, and the wider Birżebbuġa community.
The Saints were founded in 1946 and throughout their history won the Third Division three times, the National Amateur League 1 in 2024/25, finishing second in the Challenge League last season after defeating Swieqi United in a promotion decider.
