A number of football clubs will benefit from financial assistance towards damages incurred as a result of Storm Harry, which caused significant disruption and damage across Malta in January 2026.

Following the storm, the Malta FA invited clubs to submit details of any damage sustained to their facilities, together with the relevant quotations for the necessary repair works.

A total of 24 clubs submitted the required information under the assistance scheme, with UEFA allocating €28,000 towards this initiative.

The financial assistance will cover 40% of eligible expenses, subject to a maximum eligible damage amount of €4,000 per club. Consequently, the maximum grant payable to an individual club is €1,600.

Based on the information submitted by the 24 participating clubs, the total amount due under the scheme amounts to €32,386.

While the UEFA allocation stands at €28,000, the Malta FA will provide an additional €4,386 to ensure that the full amount due to the participating clubs is covered.

Through this initiative, the Malta FA is supporting clubs in addressing the damage caused by Storm Harry and assisting them in restoring their facilities.
