Bottom four in action on Sunday

The teams currently lying in the bottom four places in the BOV Premier League will be in action on Sunday at the Hibernians Stadium.

In the first match, Tarxien Rainbows take on Msida St. Joseph.

The Rainbows, who are currently eighth in the table, will be all out to return to winning ways after winning just two of the last eight games. A win which would put them in sixth place, just one point behind Sliema. In their last outing, they lost 4-2 to Sliema Wanderers.

Msida, on the other hand, are coming from three successive defeats and hope to earn precious points from this game in their bid to close in on the same Tarxien. The Saints are currently second from bottom on eight points, seven behind the Rainbows.

David Camilleri is ruled out for Tarxien as he serves a two-match ban. Also ruled out through suspension are Msida defenders Tyrone Farrugia and Cedric Sciberras. However Zoran Levnaic could be back following a trial in Tunisia.

In the first round, the two teams shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile in the second game, Floriana will be seeking revenge as they take on wooden-spoonists Dingli Swallows.

A 2-1 first round win over the Greens were in fact the only points collected by Dingli Swallows in the thirteen matches they played and while Dingli hope to repeat themselves with another positive result, Floriana will be all out to secure the three points which would enable them to join Sliema Wanderers in fifth place.

While Dingli are coming from eight consecutive defeats, Floriana brought their negative run to an end with a draw against Hamrun Spartans in their last outing.

No players are suspended but Floriana could not count on Marlon Briffa, who is the latest player to join their casualty list, and Akanni-Sunday Wasiu, who is on trial in England.
