The Council of the Malta Football Association accepted a request by Msida St. Joseph to refer the case regarding the protest over the BOV First Division League match between Balzan Youths and Msida back to the Protests Board.

The Council is allowed to refer such a case back to the board if the decision seems to be taken in breech of rules.

The MFA Protests Board had awarded Balzan a 2-0 win over Msida after it was claimed that Valdo Alhinho was ineligible to play the game since his registration was invalid due to Sliema’s prohibition on transfers.
