Three Premier League players suspended

Three Premier League players – Angus Buhagiar (Birkirkara), Nikolai Chipev (Hamrun) and Steve Borg (Valletta) – were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches from the Championship Pool.

Chipev will miss the game against Tarxien on Friday, Buhagiar is ruled out of the match with Marsaxlokk while Borg will be unavailable for the clash with Floriana.

In Division 1, Joreilly Chirino and Shawn Tellus (Dingli), Faisal Anakua and Jonathan Briscoe White (St. Andrews) were banned for one match.

Matthew Tabone (Hibernians), Denzel Pisani (Sirens) and Jurgen Farrugia (St. Patrick) were banned for one match in the Youth League.
