Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sport Clyde Puli inaugurated an outdoor gym at the St. Patrick FC complex on Tuesday.

In his speech, Puli said the government planned to open a number of outdoor gyms so that sport and physical activity would be more accessible to the community. The government was therefore making sure that the Maltese get used to doing physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Puli reiterated that apart from this outdoor gym in Zabbar, the Government has already opened two other outdoor gyms in Ta’ Qali and in Mellieha and announced that another two will be inaugurated in Attard and Qormi.

The Parliamentary Secretary said that these outdoor gyms join other sports initiatives by the Government including the range of sports programmes in schools and in the community and the construction and upgrading of sports facilities.
