Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports will be organising the traditional Boxing Day Tournament in aid of l-Istrina.

The Għaqda Ġurnalisti Sports, the Malta Football Referees Association and the Malta Football Coaches Association have been taking part in this tournament for several years but as from last year, a fourth team made up of employees of the Malta Football Association are taking part.

The tournament’s objective is to bring together four sectors from the football family in a completely different and more relaxed atmosphere during the festive season.

Funds raised from this tournament including individual donations will go to l-Istrina.

Among those confirming their participation were Birkirkara coach Paul Zammit, Floriana coach Stephen Azzopardi, Qormi assistant coach Joe Brincat, Mosta coach Steve D’Amato, referees Chris Lautier, Marco Borg, Alan Mario Sant and Clayton Pisani, journalists Charles Camenzuli, Antvin Monsigeur, Peter Cossai, Paul Cachia and David Galea and MFA officials Norman Darmanin Demajo, Dr Chris Bonnet, Ivan Mizzi, Mark Attard and Dr Adrian Camilleri.

The tournament will be held on the 26th December at the Centenary Stadium, starting at 09:00. The final will be played at 12:00.
