Swieqi United registered a second win in the BOV Third Division as they beat Kalkara 3-0. They lead the way with six points together with Sirens. Kenneth Ekezie put them ahead on 31 minutes and two minutes from half-time, Thomas Naudi doubled the score. Fabian Debono sealed the issue with a third goal four minutes from time.
St. Venera Lightnings defeated Marsaxlokk 4-2. Manuel Caruana put the Southseasiders ahead on the 8th minute but the Lightnings levelled matters on 24 minutes thanks to Jonathan Micallef. Ryan Bezzina made it 2-1 for St. Venera on 57 minutes and Mark Grech added another on 65 minutes. Manuel Caruana scored again for Marsaxlokk on the 67th but Ryan Bezzina sealed the issue with another goal on 79 minutes.
Goals by Martin Busuttil on 29 minutes and Bjorn Dalli on 65 minutes enabled Ghaxaq to beat Xghajra Tornados 2-0.
Mtarfa also collected their first three points in a 2-0 win over Ta’ Xbiex thanks to a brace by Francesco Azzopardi on 9 and 49 minutes.
Leonard Alla scored twice on 18 and 76 minutes to hand Attard a 2-0 win over Qrendi. On the other hand, Jason Good gave Luqa St. Andrew’s a win over Mgarr United.
