Eight Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches and the matches which were played on Tuesday.
Andrew Decesare (Naxxar) was banned for two matches while Justin Grioli (Balzan), Ryan Camilleri (Hibs), Patrick Borg (Rabat), Clifford Gatt Baldacchino (Sliema), Ryan Fenech and Shaun Bajada (Valletta) and Oscar Dario Guerrero Alvarado (Vittoriosa) were suspended for one match.
Decesare is ruled out of the next two Relegation Pool games against Floriana and Vittoriosa. Guerrero will skip the game against Qormi while Patrick Borg misses the game against Tarxien. In the Championship Pool, Grioli, Fenech and Bajada are ruled out of Balzan vs Valletta, Gatt Baldacchino misses the game against Mosta while Camilleri will skip the game against Birkirkara.
In Division 1, Julian Briffa (Birzebbuga), Bjorn Bondin (Gzira), Melvin Busuttil (Hamrun), Clayton Giordmaina (Lija), Manuel Ramon Sierra Camacho (Melita), Quelin Refalo (Pietà), Karl Magro and Mead Mifsud (Zurrieq) were all suspended for one match.
Keith Fedele (Gharghur), Mario Bajada (Marsaskala), Daniel Cremona and Stephen Place (Mdina), Kane Micallef (Mellieha), Carmelo Farrugia and Jonathan Mifsud (Pembroke) were suspended for one match in Division 2 while Dingli team manager Marco Buttigieg was suspended for two matches.
In Division 3, Andrea Hammett (Kalkara), Ryan Zammit (Mgarr), Joseph Munyao Mwema (Mtarfa), Joseph John Cutajar (Santa Lucia) and Ivo Ginev (Xghajra) were banned for one match while Kalkara coach James Camilleri was banned for two matches and Sta. Venera Lightings Raymond Farrugia was suspended for five matches.
