Premier League side Mosta are currently on a training camp in Bulgaria as part of the club’s preparation for the coming season.
The Blues played two friendly matches against two Bulgarian top division sides – Lokomotiv Plovdiv and Cherno More Varna. Lokomotiv Plovdiv finished fifth last season while Cherno More placed seventh.
In the first match, Mosta lost 3-1 to Lokomotiv Plovdiv while in the second match, they held Cherno More in a 2-2 draw.
Meanwhile Mosta have so far confirmed goalkeeper Omar Borg for another season together with Cameroonian defender Jonas Rodriguez Ekani and Montengegrin striker Bojan Kaljevic. The three players had joined the club last summer.
The club had earlier signed Daniel Mariano Bueno on loan from Tarxien with Alex Cini and Kane Farrugia moving in the opposite direction.
Enrico Piccioni will stay as Mosta coach after taking over in December, leading them to a most creditable fourth place.
George Galea has been confirmed as club president following the Annual General Meeting which was held earlier this month.
