The Youth Football Association hosted its annual drinks for all the member nurseries, which as now customary, also included the distribution of the UEFA Solidarity Funds, as well as the signing of a new sponsorship agreement with APS Bank.
The signing of this new sponsorship agreement means that APS Bank will be sponsoring the Youth FA Under-15 and Under-17 Leagues up to season 2016/17 season, meaning that the co-operation between APS and the Youth FA will now span twelve years.
In their speeches, both Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro and Norman Darmanin Demajo, YFA and MFA Presidents respectively stressed on the need to continue to include education and good values in football coaching and to ensure that today’s young players become tomorrow’s good citizens.
The MFA President then presented each nursery with a cheque deriving from the UEFA Champions League Solidarity Funds, according to their respective licence category for last season.
All the nurseries were also presented with a copy of the book ‘L-Istorja tat-Tazza tad-Dinja’ by the author Ramon Zammit, who is an ex-nursery head-coach.
