Second consecutive defeat for Nadur Youngsters

Nadur Youngsters suffered a second consecutive defeat as they lost 2-3 to SK Victoria Wanderers in the Melita First Division on Sunday.

Sunday Baala put the Wanderers ahead after just one minute and the same player doubled the score on 36 minutes with Matthew Zammit scoring a third goal two minutes from the end of the first half. Claudio Antunes pulled one back just before half-time, scoring a second goal eleven minutes from time.

Xewkija Tigers move one point ahead of Nadur following a 1-1 draw with Victoria Hotspurs.
Eric Nwankwo put the Tigers ahead on 15 minutes and Antoine Camilleri equalised on 36 minutes.

Last week, Oratory Youths and SK Victoria Wanderers shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, goals by Sunday Baala for the Wanderers on the 80th and Thiago dos Santos for the Youths on the 86th.

In another match, Victoria Hotspurs defeated Sannat Lions 2-0, goals by Didier Tayou and Ferdinando Apap in the final eight minutes.

In the Melita Second Division, Munxar Falcons defeated Qala Saints 2-1. Stefan Farrugia put Munxar ahead just before half-time, Nathan Portelli equalised on the 79th but Frank Paul Azzopardi notched the winner on the 90th.

A goal by Michael Bezzina on the 37th gave Ghajnsielem a 1-0 win over Gharb Rangers.

On Wednesday, Xaghra United beat Gharb Rangers 3-0, goals by Joseph Buhagiar on the 30th, Daniel Bartolo on the 58th and 71st.

Last week, Zebbug Rangers defeated Ghajnsielem 3-2, goals by Charlon Tabone and Michael Bezzina for the Blacks, Patrick Camilleri, Alex Tramboo and Sylvan Galea for the Rovers.
