Two Premier League players suspended

Hibernians defender Andrei Agius and Sliema Wanderers goalkeeper Timothy Aquilina were handed a one-match ban by the MFA disciplinary Commissioner after being sent off during the weekend.

Aquilina is ruled out of the clash against Bikrirkara while Agius misses the game against Qormi.

Meanwhile Floriana FC president Riccardo Gaucci and Sliema goalkeepers’ coach Mark Vella were also suspended for one match.

In Division 1, Dejan Vukovic (Fgura), Rodney Refalo (Hamrun), Adrian Caruana (Lija), Josuel Azzopardi (San Gwann), Aaron Agius and Matthew Gauci (Zebbug) were suspended for one match.

Rene Duca (Birzebbuga), Karl Azzopardi (Gharghur), Joseph Chetcuti (Kirkop), James Borg (Mgarr) and Daniel Zammit (Zurrieq) were handed a one-match ban in Division 2 while Andrew Agius (Attard), Joshua Sciarrino (Dingli), Malcolm Luke Vassallo (Mdina), Gaynor D’Amato (Santa Lucia) and Glenn Micallef (Sta. Venera) were banned for one match in Division 3. Alexander Cauchi (Marsaskala) was suspended for three matches.
