Seven Premier League players were suspended while St. Andrews coach Jose Borg and team manager Denis Guerra were handed hefty bans by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.
Paltemio Barbetti (Pembroke) was banned for two matches while Clive Brincat (Balzan), Emanuel Briffa (Floriana), Carlos Menendez Hevia and Ebiabowei Baker (Tarxien), Jonathan Caruana and Romeu Pericles Romao (Valletta) were all suspended for one match.
