Balzan FC launched the team’s new football kit to commemorate their 80th anniversary during a presentation at Balzan’s training grounds on Thursday.

Balzan President Anton Tagliaferro said: “For most of the club’s 80 years since its inception in 1937, the club has been a small club that played its football in the lower divisions of Maltese football. I am pleased to say that in this, our 80th anniversary, Balzan FC is now one of the leading clubs in the Premier League and has also developed one of the top Academies on the island. “

“At Balzan FC with my backing, the club we always strive to do everything in the right manner and always professionally. I remain encouraged with the progress of the club and of the talent coming through from our Academy and I hope we continue to be successful for many more years to come. It would be a fantastic thing if in this, our 80th anniversary, the club can win an important Trophy.”

In presenting the 80th anniversary football kit – a replica of Balzan’s first team in 1937 -the club’s official kit sponsors – Joma’s Senior Executive Mr Paolo Taglialatela said “At Joma, we are very happy and proud to be associated with Balzan FC and we hope that the new Joma kit to commemorate the club’s 80-year anniversary will bring the club them the luck it needs to win the club’s first major trophy.”
