Top Red Star youth coaches to train teams at Balzan FC

Balzan is pleased to announce that as part of its ongoing relationship with Serbian club Red Star Belgrade, that Red Star’s current under 15 and 17 coaches Nikola Puaca and Marko Nedjic will be training of Balzan’s youth teams during January.

Balzan Sporting Director Vladimir Simovic said “Nikola and Marko are considered as two of the best youth coaches in Serbia. Both their youth teams were leading their respective Leagues going into the recent Serbian winter break. They are coming to Malta to help our Academy improve on technical aspects as well as to scout all our boys to see if any of them are ready to go to Belgrade for a trial with their Red Star teams some time in 2018.”

President Anton Tagliaferro said “We are very fortunate and excited to have coaches of Nikola and Marko’s calibre visit us at Balzan FC and I would like to thank Red Star’s President for making this possible. I think everyone who understands football knows how very high the standard of youth football in Serbia is. Our long term relationship with Red Star continues to progress well with Red Star youth players Marko Platisa and Antonio Mitrev now both settled and doing well in Malta, while Gary Camillieri, who went to Belgrade for a trial in 2017 continues to be tracked by the club. We share similar philosophies in terms of youth development and we expect the co-operation between the two clubs to continue to grow in the years ahead.”
