St. George’s joined Birzebbuga in fourth place in the BOV Second Division as they defeated Siggiewi 2-0 in one of the two matches in programme at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Sunday.
Nicholas Zammit was the hero with two goals for the Cospicua side on the 36th and 70th.
Mgarr United, on the other hand, were held in a 1-1 draw by Melita. Lazar Doric put them ahead on the 82nd minute but Luke Mifsud levelled matters for Melita on the 90th.
Marsaxlokk lead the way with 36 points, followed by Fgura on 34, Mgarr 33, Birzebbuga and St. George’s 31, Rabat 27, Melita 24, Zabbar and Sta. Venera 13, Siggiewi 11, Kalkara 10, Mellieha 9 and Luqa 8.
