Kurt Zammit of Birkirkara was handed a six-match ban while another six players were suspended for one match by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.
Triston Caruana (Hamrun), Tiago Adan Fonseca (Hibs), Jan Busuttil (Pietà), Travis Blagrove and Kemmu Degran Jackson (St. Andrews) were in fact banned for one match.
The season is therefore over for Kurt Zammit. Jan Busuttil skips the clash with Tarxien, Blagrove and Jackson will miss the game against Valletta, Triston Caruana the clash with Balzan and Tiago the game against Qormi.
Gzira president Sharlon Pace was suspended for two matches while Tarxien coach Jose Borg was banned for one match.
Meanwhile in Division 1, Antoine Borg (Lija), Mead Mifsud (Naxxar), Melvin Busuttil and Josuel Spiteri (Qrendi), Jan Tanti (San Gwann), Kristian Sultana (Swieqi), Hubert Vella (Zebbug) were all banned for one match while San Gwann coach Stefano Grima was banned for two matches.
Aaron Agius (Kalkara), Andy Portelli (Luqa), Denilson Borg Castaldi (Marsaxlokk), Jean Matthias Vella (Rabat), Dylan Caruana and Dylan Sammut (St. George’s) were all banned for one match in Division 2. St. George’s team manager Keith Darmanin and Luqa official Francis Zammit were banned for two matches and three matches respectively.
In Division 3, Fabian Zammit (Attard) was suspended for two matches while Leonard Alla (Attard), Kyle Gatt (Dingli), Rio Micallef and Clayton Xuereb (Ghaxaq), Ryan D’Amato (Kirkop), Joseph Chetcuti, Isaac Chircop and Fabio Luca Muscat (Msida) were banned for one match.
