After two narrow wins over Birkirkara and Balzan and draws with Valletta and Gzira, Floriana will be hoping to return to winning ways as they take on Gudja United. However Gudja will be aiming at extending their unbeaten record after obtaining four points in four draws with Hibernians, Hamrun Spartans, Santa Lucia and Sliema Wanderers.

After returning to winning ways with a win over neighbours Tarxien, Santa Lucia target another three points from the clash with Sirens. Santa Lucia won two matches against Valletta and Tarxien, earning the other two points in draws with Gzira and Gudja. Sirens, on the other hand, are eager to bounce back after a disappointing 0-4 defeat to Hamrun. From the first three matches, the St. Paul’s Bay side collected seven points in a draw with Senglea and wins over Mosta and Hibernians.

Hamrun hope to extend their unbeaten run with another win on Saturday as they take on Senglea. The Spartans earned two points in draws with Gzira and Hamrun but then registered back-to-back wins over Tarxien and Sirens. Senglea, on the other hand, suffered their first defeat last week at the hands of Hibernians after a draw with Sirens and two wins against Birkirkara and Mosta.

After collecting two points from the first four matches, Birkirkara continue to chase their first win but face an uphill task as they take on Valletta who lie one point behind the leading trio after a defeat to Santa Lucia, a win over Sliema, a draw with Floriana and a win over Balzan. The Stripes, on the other hand, are currently second from bottom after losing to both Floriana and Senglea and only managing to hold Balzan and Mosta in draws.
