Floriana and Hamrun Spartans will be out to regain the top spot in the BOV Premier League as they take on Tarxien Rainbows and Mosta respectively in the two matches in programme at the National Stadium on Sunday.
In the first match, kick-off at 15:00, Floriana take on Tarxien. The Greens Floriana returned to winning ways last week thanks to a 2-0 win over Gudja United after two wins over Birkirkara and Balzan and draws with Valletta and Gzira United. Tarxien, on the other hand, remain the only team without any points after suffering defeats to Mosta, Hibs, Hamrun, Santa Lucia and Sliema.
Augusto Rene Caseres is ruled out for Floriana as he serves a one-match ban but Matias Nicolas Garcia will be back after skipping the last game through suspension.
Meanwhile in the second match, Hamrun Spartans face Mosta. The Spartans are coming from three consecutive wins after defeating Tarxien, Sirens and Senglea following two draws in the first two matches. Mosta, on the other hand, defeated Tarxien but then lost three out of the next four matches, earning a point in a draw with Birkirkara.
