Nadur Youngsters are the only team with maximum points in the BOV Gozo Football League First Division following a 4-0 win over Gharb Rangers on Sunday.
Predrag Djordjevic put Nadur ahead after just three minutes and Shaun Attard doubled the score on the 16th. Marcelo Barbosa made it 3-0 on the 53rd with Chris Camilleri adding another nine minutes from time.
Ghajnsielem suffered their first defeat as they lost 1-4 to Xewkija Tigers in another match on Sunday. Jose Carlos Nogueira Junior opened the score for the Tigers on the 36th. Igor Nedeljkovic equalised nine minutes in the second half but Jackson Lima restored the lead on the 68th thanks to a penalty. Xewkija sealed the issue thanks to goals by Rodney Buttigieg on teh 76th and Claudio Antunes on the 85th.
Xewkija move second on 7 points, two points behind the leaders, joining Victoria Hotspurs who managed to beat SK Victoria Wanderers 3-0 in the derby. Goals by Elton da Silva on the 7th and the 29th and another by Emiliano Lattes on the 24th handed the Hotspurs the three points.
In another match on Friday, a brace by Andrea Debrincat on the 23rd and the 57th gave Kercem Ajax a 2-0 win over Xaghra United.
Meanwhile in the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division, Sannat Lions moved top thanks to a 2-1 win over Zebbug Rovers at the Kercem Ajax Stadium on Saturday.
Antoine Camilleri put the Lions ahead on the 34th and although Oliver Farrugia equalised on the 58th, eleven minutes later, Ebube Ralph Okpokwu restored the lead for Sannat.
In another match, an added time goal by Radovan Duric handed Qala Saints a narrow win over Munxar Falcons.
