Following a shock defeat to Gudja United on Monday, Birkirkara face another tricky test as they take on Santa Lucia in one of the BOV Premier League matches in programme at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday , kick-off at 16:15.

The Stripes registered just one win this season and lost two out of the last three matches. Lying joint-second from bottom together with Gudja, they are desperate for points.

Santa Lucia, on the other hand, are currently tenth, three points ahead of the Stripes and although they lost three out of their last five matches, the performance were quite encouraging.

Meanwhile in the first match, kick-off at 14:00, Gudja United take on Tarxien Rainbows in a basement clash.

Tarxien are yet without a point after losing their first nine matches, scoring just eight goals and conceding twenty eight. Gudja, on the other hand, registered their first Premier League win on Monday as they defeated Birkirkara 3-2 to bounce back from a disappointing run of four consecutive defeats.
