Msida St. Joseph registered a fine 3-1 win over leaders Attard in one of the two matches from the BOV Third Division at the Sirens Stadium on Sunday.

Ciro Quaranta opened the score on the 36th minute for Msida and Daniele Marsala made it 2-0 on the 70th. Nicholas Schembri pulled one back for Attard but Timothy Thomas made it 3-1 eleven minutes from time.

Goals in the last four minutes by Matthew Pace and Andreas Anastasi handed Mdina Knights their first win this season as they beat Ta’ Xbiex 2-0 in another match.

Attard lead the way with 22 points, followed by Kirkop on 21, Ghaxaq, Msida and Siggiewi 20, Gharghur 16, Dingli 13, Marsaskala 10, Mtarfa 9, Sta. Venera 6, Mdina 5 and Ta’ Xbiex 4.
